kde-thumbnailer-openoffice software package provides KDE plugin to show thumbnails of OpenOffice.org files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kde-thumbnailer-openoffice
kde-thumbnailer-openoffice is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kde-thumbnailer-openoffice package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kde-thumbnailer-openoffice *
You will get with kde-thumbnailer-openoffice package name, version, architecture and description in a table
